Amazing, must-do experience in Goa

This experience was amazing and I couldn't recommend it enough. The views were beautiful and the setting was so relaxing. We saw lots of birds! It was my first time kayaking but the smooth, peaceful pace made it a beautiful way to see the nature. The people who ran the trip were great and even offered us a homemade samosa and drink after.

A must to do while in Goa

This is not just a kayak ride, it's an unforgettable experience. I joined first early morning batches in North Goa (Chapora river) and in South Goa (Sal backwaters) through them. First batch is the best time to spot maximum exotic birds while kayaking through the mangrove. The organizers and guides are friendly, very well-organized, trained and knowledgeable.

The Kayaing ride was amazing in lush greens of water. They briefed us and definitely maintained a friendly atmosphere. We came across few birds and had lovely views.

Super fun activity for the entire family

Went for kayaking at the sal backwater mangrove and it was such a surreal experience Mr Prakash Alfonso was such a kind host and instructor he made us so comfortable and confident to do the sport my 7 yr old son did it with us too which was unbelievable for me. Our guide Shankar dada was a man of muscle n patience a highly recommended activity for the entire family and how could I not mention he kind samosas he had arranged for us post the activity 5 star super hit

Bird Lovers' Delight

If you're a bird lover this trip is a must ! You get to see Cormorants, Ibis, Herons, Kites, Ducks, Kingfishers aplenty within an hour of pleasant paddling in the shallow tranquil waters of Sal

Very relaxing

Very well managed and very nice host. We enjoyed the kayaking experience at sal backwater. It was for a small group of 4 people. Once in water, you feel safe cause the kayaks are stable and you have life vest. The journey is nice and relaxing

Serene and peaceful kayaking on the sal backwaters

I'd booked the trip for my girlfriend, being a true twitcher! What I hadn't anticipated was that i would become one myself! Quite possible one of the most peaceful and serene experiences I have had in India. Was introduced to so many different birds and was even luck enough to spot an otter! Would definitively recommend for anyone visiting goa! +++

Prakash was very knowledgeable and welcoming. He guided us thoroughly and my family and I had a great time. The views were amazing. Prakash said morning is the best time, believe him! The early morning sunrise and watching all the bird activity was great. After the trip, Prakash treated us to some snacks, which were much needed!

Prakash was a fantastic host and made us all feel very welcomed. The kayaking was great and a great way to explore nature with a guide, plus we saw some kingfishers along the way. Once the tour ended, Prakash treated us all to a samosa and fruit juice. Would highly recommend!

a trip to truly fall in love with Goa!

Background: 6th time in Goa as a family from Switzerland, 5 days in south of Goa, 3 weeks in India, 1 out of 13 tours during this trip Don’t miss this magical highlight of Goa! Kayaking through the morning mist on the backwaters with mystical mangroves, beautiful water lilies, birds: awakening, fishing, group-flying, bathing, singing… grazing water buffalos, running moorhens, … was a truly unforgettable experience. Shankar was not only a professional guide concerning the knowledge about all the birds, giving us a short and useful introduction to kayaking and navigating us through the side arms of the river Sal, but perfectly managed the balance between giving information at the right time and let enough room to fully experience this breathtaking scenery. I’m not a morning person at all, but if still in Goa I certainly would get up again and again to do this peaceful and still interesting trip. The kayaking itself (our first time) was easy for all of us, means comfortable, secure, surprisingly easy to handle, in the end a bit tired, but the day after with no sore muscles although I’m not trained at all. Prakash awaited us by our return with disinfection of hands and a small snack and cool juice, most welcome. He has also a booklet prepared with pictures of the birds and their English names, which is very helpful if you know some but being not familiar with names in a foreign language (pied kingfisher, different bee eaters, bulbul, snake head comorant …). All in all definitely an unforgettable memory for all of us and a trip to truly fall in love with Goa!

Fun, Adventurous and Memorable

It was a wonderful experience. Prakash sir had kept everything organized and gave a quick crisp demo to all and launched us. The guide navigated us through the picturesque backwaters, low hanging foliages, water lilies and migratory birds. The boats were also very well maintained and comfortable. Post the ride he took care of all basic hygiene factors and surprised us with some cool drinks - a much needed beverage to quench our thirst. If you come to Goa I would strongly recommend you this as one of your activity at Goa Kayaking.

Unforgettable! Tranquil experience

Truly unforgettable experience. Most of us come to Goa for its tranquility and serenity and the ‘susegad’ culture, and this is a full 90 minutes of just calm and peace. The host Prakash was so thoughtful - he sent us all the detail on time, checked with us before we left, instructed us properly, and even got us snacks after the experience. The kayaking itself was magical. We started 7 in the morning and couldn’t have picked a better time of the day. The views were truly breathtaking, the bird sounds were so therapeutic. A unique once in a lifetime experience and couldn’t recommend enough!

Amazing natural beauty in the morning. Do not skip!!

What an amazing experience! We went for an early trip starting at 6:45-7:00am. I'm not a morning person, but this was definitely worth it as you get to experience nature at an uninterrupted and serene time. The morning fog had just settled in on a field of lilly pads, lotuses, and marshy grass. Since it was the morning, all of the birds were just waking up and taking off from the trees to find food. We saw a lot of kingfishers, herons, egrets, eagles, and several other birds that our host had mentioned. It was easy kayaking through the water and had to sometimes kayak through some grass, which required some extra work, but nothing too difficult. The white and pink lotuses had just bloomed and as our trip progressed, we could see them open more and more. Definitely recommend this trip to experience the beautiful nature of the Goan backwaters.

Early Morning Kayaking at Sal Backwaters, Goa was an amazing experience! Got sight of some beautiful birds: Grey Heron, Cameron, Kingfisher and many more... Sailed through the beautiful Pink & White Lotus Ponds! 🪷 Calm & Soothing ! Away from the hustle & bustle of Goa! Team Prakash was just fab and we totally enjoyed their company! If you're someone like me who is very keen to try something unique and serene in Goa, this is definitely the right place for you! 🙌

Amazing, peaceful experience!

One of highlights during our time in Goa. Such a beautiful and peaceful experience kayaking down the calm waters during sunrise and seeing some amazing birds and lotus flowers. Would 100% recommend and will be back next time we are in Goa! Thank you!

Had a wonderful 7 am paddle yesterday, the peace once your away from traffic is incredible lots of birds, plants and trees , I was lucky to have just the guide with me , the sit on Kyac’s are very stable for beginners so no need to worry also life preservers a must , a great experience not to be missed , and well organised xx

Honeymoon Kayaking Goa Backwaters

The kayaking was truly an unforgettable experience. The amount of kayaking was perfect - not too much where we were exhausted but not too little where we felt ripped off. The views were stunning. In particular. The lily ponds on the mangroves and our guides were very kind and were very knowledgeable about the local area and were able to help us spot birds in the local area around. Would highly recommend for anyone in the Goa area. We are non Hindi speakers but found no problem as Prakash was able to communicate excellently in English and Hindi and was extremely helpful. His guides were excellent too.

Beautiful sunrise kayaking and bird watching

The trip was short but nice and we could spot some beautiful birds. Everything was very well coordinated and we even got fresh Samosas afterwards.

It was a great experience. The flaura and fauna is excellent. Seems like a trip as shown in movies, only in this case there are no carnivorous ready to attack.

Great morning experience

We went on an early morning trip and had a wonderful time. Definitely better to go early before the day heats up too much! It was just the two of us and it felt nice and relaxed and we weren’t rushed to paddle any quicker than we wanted! Saw lots of wildlife and was so peaceful. Made a nice change for a couple of hours than the pool or beach!

Went with my six year old son in one kayak. Beautiful nature, serene, loads of birds to watch and a very knowledgeable and genuinely friendly guide. Go in the early morning when nature wakes up - it is a really stunning experience!

Kayaking in the peaceful backwaters of river Sal.

Had a really good time, despite living so closeby had not experienced these backwaters, could spot a variety of birds and Lotus blooms.. the waters are quite clear despite many houses situated right next to the rivulet. Memorable time with family.

Really fun & wholesome experience

Did the 1.5 hr tour with our family & it was such a pleasant experience!! They explained everything well so we felt super safe & had great quality equipment. The tour guide was really kind & knew a lot about the birds & trees we saw along route. The tour ended with (yummmmy) veggie homemade Samosa & mango juice. Definitely would recommend :)

Unexpected quiet nature place

This approximately 4 km kayak trip on a small river revealed an unexpectedly beautiful nature in a very quiet place. The pace is slow and adapted for contemplation and discussion with the guide, very friendly and knowledgeable on the many birds, animals, plants and local anecdotes. Highly recommended activity !

Amazing!

This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in India. Rupesh was a wonderful guide and really went out of his way to give us the full experience; starting with chai and garam garam pakora, followed by the serenity of the backwaters of Goa, and ending with laughter, fantastic conversation, and delicious Goan speciality food. Prakash and Rupesh were professional and communicated with me from the moment I booked the trip. Would recommend this 10 out of 10.

Must try!

It was definitely a good experience in Goa. While kayaking, we felt very peaceful because of the quiet environment and calm waves on the river. Also, the host team is very nice. I reserved this activity at night, and the next morning, I got a reply via whatsApp. So, there is no stress for reservation. Furthermore, our guide Rupesh sent a message before the trip. We were able to reach and start the activity smoothly. Rupesh talked about the history of the place where we passed through so that we enjoyed both nature and history. He does not speak too much, so we can enjoy the silence. Lastly, he picked up plastic garbage in the river to keep there clean. We love his behavior and hospitality. Thank you so much.

Amazing experience

This tour was very good, the guides were friendly and really welcoming. We had fresh coconuts and did a little nature walk where we could watch locals farming coconuts while we waited for the kayaking to start. The scenery was beautiful and the kayaking setting was stunning aswell. We saw wildlife and kayaked around an island on which people live. Again the guides were so welcoming and fun to be around, I'd definitely recommend this trip, the guides made it the best experience. Thank you so much to everyone involved :)

Highly recommended kayaking trip

We had a fun filled experience kayaking in the Sal river. We had a lot of time to explore the backwaters and soak in the beautiful scenery. We were also lucky to spots a few different species of birds and the occasional fish jumping out of the water. The trip is well organized, the team is punctual, the kayaks are safe and sturdy. Our guides were friendly and gave us a lot of space and privacy to explore the river on our own.

Amazing Kayaking Experience with Mr. Prakash at Sal Backwaters.

This was my second time Kayaking with Mr. Prakash. I have begun to love this sport but get very few opportunities to try it out in my city so I seem this out! Sal backwaters is a perfect space with still water and often beautiful birds for this. Good for people new to Kayaking. Mr. Prakash and his team make it easy as a breeze. I sincerely recommend.

Goa Mangroves Easy and Family Friendly

Great service with knowledgeable and friendly guides. Wildlife (birds) were in abundance throughout the mangroves. The family enjoyed the experience and made it easy for my young kids.

The Nature side of South Goa that many don't know about

My wife and I went on this Kayaking trip in Sal backwater and it turns out to be one of the best stand-out experience of our lives and surely one of the best in our Goa trip. We never did Kayaking before and neither of us know how to swim.. and we didn't need to. That's the best part. The team of Mr.Prakash were very professional and gave us all the tips we need to have simply kayake through the placid backwaters of Sal river in South Goa. The tour size was very convenient and it helped us have a very communal experience. We did the early morning trip at 8AM and it turned out to be a very good decision because we were able to see so many birds and hear a lot of bird songs all through our trip. And weather wise as well, this early morning slot was the best one. Mr. Prakash conducts this trip in a very professional manner and makes you feel extremely safe and comfortable. He also clicked the pictures and shared them with us later to make it memorable for us. I would highly recommend taking this trip to anyone looking for a nice relaxing nature experience on their trip to Goa. When our family members saw our pictures, they were surprised to see this different side of Goa. We ourselves didn't know this until we took this trip. We will probably try to take this again whenever we go to Goa next time.

Beautiful and relaxing

Prakash is a great communicator and all arrangements were clearly explained. We spent a wonderful couple of hours paddling in what can only be described as bird paradise. Stunning kingfishers and majestic herons are easy to spot but the highlights were an imperious eagle and two playful otters. Staff attentive and safety conscious. Great price if booked direct!
