Communication can be better

I really wanted to give it a 5 star, but the inconvenience of communication took out one star. I would suggest that the company communicate with customers with some apps such as WhatsApp, which is instant and efficient, especially for the driver. Everything went well although the company communicated with me with emails through Viator. The day I used the service I wanted to let the driver know that I was ready, he/she could come anytime. I could only leave a message via Viator. The company replied quickly saying that I could call if it was an emergency. It would be an international call for me. It’s not an emergency, so I can’t let the driver know I am ready. Although the company called the hotel to let me know their driver was coming, I felt that I didn’t know what was going on. The other company I used was pretty good. When I arrived, I already received a message from the driver telling me she was waiting in her car and she would come pick me up once I let her know I was in the arrival area. It made me feel relaxed. Other than that, our driver did an excellent job. He sent us to the airport within one hour, which was earlier than expected. We had extra time browsing around before the flight.

The driver was professional and on time for our 3:40 AM pick up. He was helpful with bags and comfort of passengers during the ride. He got us to the airport quickly. Would use again.

Courteous and professional driver

Our driver arrived for pickup a few minutes early and was very professional and personable. He explained different areas of the city as we drove through and answered any questions we had. He ran to retrieve a trolley for our luggage upon arrival at Heathrow. Our booking process and contact with the office was perfect. I would absolutely book this again.

Awesome Driver

Our driver was so personable. I loved that she called to see if we could leave earlier than original time. It made for getting to our flight on time in Gatwick. Our drive showed us the countryside on our way to the airport and explained things to us.

DO NOT BOOK - Super Sketchy!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! It was extremely difficult to contact this vendor to change the time for pickup after our flight got delayed several hours. I tried emailing, which was the shared method for contact, but that is apparently a 48 hour turnaround, which didn’t help at all. Then I tried calling the number provided in the auto response, and couldn’t get anyone. Eventually, the hotel was able to get through for me that morning. The man I spoke to was very NOT understanding and said that the car was already “on the way,” 5 hours in advance of my pickup time. When I said that didn’t make sense, and I just wanted to push the pickup a few hours because of sn airline delay, he said that he couldn’t accommodate. So I requested to cancel it, and he said, “you’d really cancel over an hour or two?” And I said yes. So he said fine and hung up. When I tried to get a refund from Viator for the service that he had verbally agreed to cancel, he apparently lied to them about what time my original pickup was and that I wasn’t ready to go at the new time, so they said they couldn’t process a refund. THERE WAS NEVER ANY PICKUP. Just a huge scam all around, and I don’t think I’ll continue being a viator customer with vendors like this. I can’t trust that they properly vet them. Just book a taxi at a flat rate and it will be infinitely less frustrating, less time consuming, and cheaper. This sucked.

It just worked perfectly

Our first experience from LHR to our hotel was a fail. (See separate review). This trip was perfect. Driver arrived early. Was superb. Very informative and helpful with our (very heavy) bags.

Very unhappy

It all started when we followed your direction when we checked in with the concierge and waited by the concierge desk. the driver checked with reception (NOT your direction). When he started driving he was so busy looking at tiktok on his phone that he caught us in a small traffic jam. He never once asked us if we wanted air conditioning or the windows open. He turned the radio on to his station and spent almost the entire trip on the phone. These are not the actions of a PROFESSIONAL driver.

Use a taxi...

Poor experience. Driver was an hour early for puck up without prior notification. We realised during the trip that he already had another return fare. Was continually texting during the drive which caused him to veer across the road- unsafe. To top it off we were dropped off at the arrivals pick up point and we had to fend for ourselves from there. The first time in many similar drop off's this has happened. Will use a taxi in future.

The ride to the airport...

The ride to the airport was most enjoyable. The driver arrived exactly on time and we had great conversation throughout the trip. He checked on my flight status when we arrived and gave me a souvenir magnet as a remembrance of my trip. One of the best trips by a car service that I have had!

Quick, Easy Trip from Central London to Heathrow

Pickup was a little early (much better than late!) but no problem. Ride was very clean and comfortable. Overall, a great experience.

Our driver, Fernandez, was great. He arrived on time and was very personable, professional and courteous. I wish we had known about him sooner so that we could have asked him to drive us to more places in London in addition to back to the airport. This drive was a great way to end our trip!

Disappointed

I don’t believe there was a memorable moment from this experience unless you call the disappointing moments memorable. Both transfers provided us with cars that did not fit us and our luggage. We were cramped into the car with a full-sized piece of luggage…both times! We alerted Viator of the problem we had with the transfer from the Airport, but there was still a problem for the transfer back. It seems that Viator doesn’t really know what their operators are doing. I don’t think I would recommend Viator to anyone.

TERRIBLE TRANSFER SERVICE TO THE AIRPORT

On June 6th, we had a transfer from our Londod hotel to Gatwick airport. We were picked up on time at 11:00 am from the Tavistock Hotel in London. However, the driver, instead of using the freeway, used the side streets of London to get to Gatwick. We had to weave through all the city traffic for about one and a half hours before we can get to Gatwick. The drive was a stressful and harrowing experience. The driver (a Portugese as he identified himself), said that the distance was shorter. The tour operator is identified in Invoice as Airtport Transfers.

Overall a good experience

Our driver met us outside the front door of our hotel, put our suitcases in the trunk for us, and off we went. I booked this return trip back to the airport because the trip from the airport was so smooth. I know this experience gets mixed reviews, so I'm guessing people have had trouble with some of the vendors Viator used in the past. I did have to pay an extra 35£ for the ride to the hotel on arrival, but did not have to pay that on the return.

Four people with a pile of luggage no problem!

Our driver was on time for a very early pickup and got the four of us and a not unsubstantial pile of luggage to Gatwick with time to spare. Fast, courteous and efficient service.

Worry free ride to airport

The service contacted us early that morning to alert us of a marathon in our area and suggested an earlier pickup. Our driver, Anthony Fernandez was a delight and got us to the airport well in time. The shuttle was comfortable and spacey for our group.

We had an exceptional driver- "Ahmed" he was punctual, updated us on time to the Airport; Safety, comfort, and time were his priority. on the way, he gave us a history of London and made 60 minutes seem like 20 minutes. He made the trip fun and interactive, he gave us pointers about shopping in the Airport-duty free stuff. We couldn't resist buying souvenirs after clearing security

Transportation Hilton Olympia to LHR

Samir arrived as planned and was very polite and kind. Efficiently took us thru London traffic and delivered us to the airport, handled our luggage and pointed us in the right direction, without fault.

Much more than we bargained for.

our driver was Ahmed. He arrived right on time at 7:15 am. Ahmed gathered all our heavy luggage; he insisted that he do it all. "I want you to be comfortable, and have a stress free transport to airport" Ahmed then stated that he had a few things to share with us as to what to do upon arrival, but he wanted to save that for just before we arrived; he did not want to stress us. Then Ahmed began sharing a wealth of interesting information about everything in our conversation, even about bits of trivia related to sights along the way. Utterly fascinating. Then, as the airport drew near he began to do his stuff. "See that lady in the lobby in a red uniform? See out a lady in red. Don't go buying stuff until you get through tsa. I will put all your baggage on these two carts; enter that door right over there". My wife and our two guests reached for our wallets without hesitation. This gentleman should be well tipped. While just a small part of our total 19 days on a transatlantic cruise with five days in London, our time with Ahmed will be long remembered. Air travel can be stressful; Ahmed helped take the stress away.

We were traveling on coronation day so the driver came early to make sure we got to the airport on time.

Would use again

We booked this transfer months before the coronation date was public. The pick up hotel was in the no drive zone. Instead of canceling our reservation they worked with us to find a location nearby that we could walk to and got us to the airport with plenty of time to spare.

Close but not quite

Timely hotel pickup. Driver was professional and amiable, however he dropped us off at the wrong terminal and we ended up having to take ourselves and our luggage to the correct terminal.

Pleasant experience

Our driver was 15 minutes early and helped us with our luggage, got us to Heathrow safe and sound and where we needed to be. He even showed us which building to enter. We had a nice drive out of London and pleasant experience. We used Viator to pick us up from airport and back. We will use Viator service again.

More than just an airport transport

The driver was very prompt on my departure. Overall, I love London! I saw Tina Turner the musical and it was fantastic. Would definitely recommend. Harrod's, I think is a little bit overrated. Was not that impressed.

Transfer Service discrepancy

My clients were inconvenienced when told they had to pay an additional $25.00 due to their bags. I had sent emails advising the nbr of bags they had and their measurements, so proper vehicle size should have been noted and proper vehicle confirmed. so I am disappointed as it is a reflection on my service to them and they are good clients. I will be somewhat reluctant to use Viator transfer services in the future. their inbound transfer from the airport to Central London with a different company didnot have this problem with their bags, so hard to understand why this was a problem on the return. ....Sandra/HNL TRAVEL ASSOCIATES

Driver service beyond expectations

Ahmed was our driver to the airport. Not only did he give us good conversation pointing out different notable facts along our route, he went above and beyond in service. The tunnel to our terminal was closed. Ahmed improvised to bring us to a different terminal and take a train to the one we needed. He got us to the terminal, parked, took our bags, picked up the train tickets, rode the train with us to the terminal, and brought us all the way to the security check point. He knew this was our first time going to Heathrow leaving from London, and wanted to make sure were we all set.

Almost missed my flight… driver was late

When arriving at Heathrow 9 days prior, i received a confirmation text with driver and vehicle inforatmation, did not receive the same on this transport and that was very scary. My driver was 15-20 minutes late for pickup and London is already traffic ridden so my anxiety and nerves were on an all time high. Was ready and checked out a quarter to 12 as instructed by the company. Made my flight by the skin of my teeth. Next time i would def take an Uber.

Despite me changing the...

Despite me changing the location on the website, and making a very expensive phonecall to ensure the change had been made, your driver still showed up at the wrong location. making us late.

Do not use them

I made reservations months in advance of my travel. 10 minutes before someone was supposed to pick me up they called to cancel. They claimed the driver ‘broke down.’ They offered no other driver to pick me up and/or no other alternative. There was a rail strike happening, so the tube was not an option, and the cabs on the road were extremely few and far between. It was extremely unprofessional and very inconvenient. I’ll never use them again, and I will strongly encourage others not to use them at all.
