Stranger Things: The First Shadow Tickets

Amazing!!! Loved it!!!

Booked tickets as part of a Surprise for my Girlfriends 30th Birthday, as we are both huge fans of stranger things we were really looking forward to this.... and it did NOT Disappoint! The seats we had chosen were brilliant with a great view of the whole stage. From the opening scene to the end it was Theatre at it's best! If you are a fan of Stranger Things then this is a MUST see for you. If I had to point out a Negative, it would only be that the Seats are a little small, and as someone with a few extra pounds to shift, it could be a little uncomfortable at times, but this didn't stop me enjoying every minute of the performance, we've even talked about going to see it again soon.

Incredible!!!

Absolutely amazing!! The acting was incredible, the storyline itself was perfect. Full of Stranger Things nostalgia and had me in tears at multiple points (mostly from pure happiness). Highly recommend!!

Fantastic show

Fantastic show, very engrossing and has the best effects I've ever seen in a theatre. The story is riveting and actually has a proper end.

Excellent for ST fans

Excellently staged, must see show for Stranger Things fans. I think you'd still enjoy it if you'd not seen the tv show too but I'm sure you get more out of it if you're a fan. We had good seats near the front of the stalls. My only complaint, the same as whenever I go to the theatre these days is please people stop eating loud food at the theatre, popcorn, maltesers, pringles, wrapped sweets, NO!!!!! And theatres start asking people not to eat in the auditorium, it honestly ruins the atmosphere. It also caused an argument near me because people were finding one group so annoying which detracts from the show.

Absolutely Marvellous Play

I love the going to the Theatre but am unashamedly a musicals girl. However, the geek in me loves Stranger Things so thought I would take a chance on a play. I honestly don’t know where to start with this play is incredible, the special effects and acting are beyond anything I have seen before. If you love Stranger Things you will love this! Highly recommended!

Fantastic!

Hilarious and horrifying in equal measure, this had me and my 12 year old gripped for the full 3 hours! The cast was outstanding and the opening scene was something else. I’d definitely recommend for any Stranger Things fan.

Subject 001's origin story - well worth it!

This is a spoiler free review! Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre in London is a captivating theatrical experience that delves into the mysterious origins of Vecna, the enigmatic antagonist from Netflix's "Stranger Things." As a die hard fan of the series, who shamelessly took part in the secret cinema experience a few years ago, I had to book tickets for this show! With gripping storytelling and immersive stagecraft (very clever use of the rotating stage!), the play brings Henry Creel / Vecna's dark and compelling backstory to life in a way that is both mesmerizing and thought-provoking. Audiences are drawn into a world of suspense and intrigue, where secrets lurk in every shadow and nothing is as it seems. You will notice loads of 'easter eggs' connecting the play to the series. With amazing performances and an enthralling narrative, "The First Shadow" is a must-see for fans of the series and theater enthusiasts alike.

Excellent Show.

First with the show: Fantastic prequel to the show, a real visual treat and some fantastic special effects. Immersive theatre at it’s best. Acting was excellent. Sound was great and used effectively. We all really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to any fan of the Netflix show. In terms of the Theatre: nice venue, pleasant staff but seats are quite small so can be uncomfortable if you need leg room.

A thrill like no other!

Location: This show took place in Phoenix Theatre, London. The staff was helpful, and it was well organized. We had seats in the Dress Circle. The seats are quite cramped, and there is not much legroom—this can become slightly uncomfortable as it is a long show. Tickets: We booked the tickets four months prior to the show. The tickets are expensive - 75 quid per head. However, the price is worth it. Let me explain. My backstory: I went to the show with no expectations. I like Stranger Things but have only watched the first two seasons. I had not rewatched the Stranger Things series to refresh my memory. The show: It started on time, and the opening scene was marvellous, with plenty of special effects. The actors' performances were phenomenal, and there was a lovely mixture of drama, music, and dance during the show. The plot itself is a prequel to the Stranger Things series and sheds light on the history of a few characters we encounter in the show. I thoroughly enjoyed the show despite my lack of preparation beforehand! In summary: An incredible show!!

Excellent show. Terrible seats

The show was superb! The effects were amazing. The show is in the theatre, and the theatre is in the show. Immersive Theater at its best. However... the seats were too small. Tiny! I chose an aisle seat and lucky too! I got a treat bundle as I had actually changed the booking date due to a work clash, and the seat was cheaper than the original booked. The treat bundle was a tub of Crisps and a Pepsi. I was handed an open glass bottle of Pepsi. I asked for a cup and the assistant could only offer a small glass. I knew this would prove tricky as I have vertigo and knew the steps to the seat would be a challenge. I did it, however, but how to put the open bottle down, with my bag, and the tub? I put the tub in my bag. But puting a small bottle on spongy carpet with lots of foot traffic in the aisles? How to sit, and not knock it over. I did it. God knows how. My bag was squeezed in the gap between me and the seat in front. With the Crisps tub in it. And my bottle of Pepsi by my feet. I did well not to knock it. I eventually left my tub in the aisle, which was also (spoilers) part of the show! Luckily it didn't impede any extra foot traffic as they did their scenes. As luck had it, a steward was passing through after the interval so I was able to grab a plastic cup for the second Pepsi I purchased. I was quite alarmed that no stewards were present in the dress circle during the interval. A lot of us stayed stood at the back (before squeezing ourselves back into the tiny seats!), but where was the crowd management? Plot twist- I do security in events. Crowd control is my key role. This theatre needs more faces in the area to manage it during interval time INSIDE the theater seating area. Other than all of that, a spectacular show!

Delightfully weird

I’m a Stranger Things fan and had no idea what to expect. This show was delightfully weird and ultimately proved to be a prequel to the TV show. Excellent visual effects and brilliantly simple devise for defining the upside down. Main character seemed to be channeling Rain Man and the doctor was a terrible actor, but I loved every weird minute of this weird, weird show.

Very disappointing 60th Birthday Treat as didn’t see much of it

I booked this show for my Birthday for me and my bestie as it’s my 60th Birthday We were so excited to see it as we are big fans of Stranger Things I picked the best seats costing around £300 and they would of been lovely seats but we had 2 large people sitting in front of us about 6 and a half foot tall I kept trying to look around his head but I gave up in the end I’m now on my way home and absolutely gutted My Birthday is on Monday 18th March so I was trying to have a very special weekend Birthday as it is my 60th Totally Ruined it😩

Great show

Went to see this show tonight! It is a must for any stranger thing fan. All the acting was fantastic. Really cleverly put together. Well done all involved.

Wow wow wow!!!

Wow. What an amazing show! Brought my son for his 16th birthday and we were both stunned, a 10/10 performance! I thought the tickets were pricey but the show is genuinely worth every penny! A must for any stranger things fan! We sat in the dress circle-row E and found the view to be brilliant. I would 100% watch the show again!

Outstanding

The storyline, the specials effects, the acting were all out of this world. I was blown away, it’s by far the best show I’ve seen. It’s a must for any fan of the series.
