Morning at the Zoo with Transfer

Great time

The pick up was on time, drive to the zoo was excellent. English speaking tour guide was very knowledgeable, gave us a lot of information and walk us through the zoo for the most famous attractions to see and then we had a time on our own to walk in the zoo and saw a sea lion show. Experience was very good, nice excursion, highly recommended.

Great time at the zoo

Hotel pickup early in the morning. Breakfast with the orangutangs, presentations with the handlers, and zoo tour well done. Dropped off back at the hotel.

my dresm eould have been the breakfast withe orangutans. which didn‘t happen. no idea why. had a lovely guide though who was full of advice and ideas.

No show

Waited over an hour to be picked up from hotel. Transfer never showed up. Got intouch with company who said due to not having enough numbers the tour was cancelled. Unbelievable.

A Total Waste of time and money

Although the tour guide was very nice, we signed up for “Breakfast with Orangutans”. There was no breakfast and it turned out to be a tour of the zoo. Not at all what we were expecting nor what we paid for. It was basically a $66 ticket to the zoo.

Lovely time at the zoo

Marie is a great guide. She's very welcoming, professional and detailed oriented. Before turning us loose, she walked us through the zoo to show us where to get on the tram and where we would meet after the tour. Breakfast was great and they offer a large variety of foods.

What a lovely experience this was. Apart from the naughty orangutan who refused to join us haha. Highly recommend a visit to the zoo. Nicholas our guide was great. Whole tour from start to finish went seamlessly.

My visit to Singapore Zoo

The breakfast was very tasty. The animals looked content in their enclosures. The zoo is set out well. Was disappointing only one Orang-utan at breakfast. Not enough time for photos.

Do it again in a couple of years

Activity cancelled less than 5 minutes before expected pickup!

We were scheduled to be picked up at our hotel at 8:00AM for our zoo trip. At exactly 7:57AM we received a message that the trip had been cancelled- due to the Lunar New Year. We purposely booked this trip knowing it was the New Year and also knowing that the zoo was open!

Glad we went

Very knowledgeable tour guide with excellent hints on better planning to see animals before the heat got too much for them (and us). Breakfast was a waste of time and money and not recommended.

UNRELIABLE TOUR OPERATOR

On Oct. 7th, I received an Email from Viator to notify me that the tour operator sent me tue folliwing message: "we have tentatively confirmed the Breakfast in the Wild on Dec 23. We can only confirm again nearer to date as at the moment we only have you booked. But it requires a minimum of 4 pax". I had paid 124$ by credit card for that tour. I arrived in Singapore on Dec 22 from Canada -- a very long and exhausting flight and was to embark on a cruise ship by the end of the day the next day (Dec 23). For me, a visit to thr Singapore Zoo was a once in a lifetime opportunity and it was to be a highlight of my trip in South-East Asia. The problem is that the tour operator never confirmed that I was definitely booked for that tour. I was at my hotel, in my room on Dec 23. The tour operator allege that the car came to the hotel lobby to pick me up, but that I did not show up. Not only I have paid $ 124 for a tour that I did not get due to no fault on my part, but I lost the only opportunity I had to see the Singapore Zoo. Therefore, I dot not advise you to book with that tour operator because, in my experience, they are NOT RELIABLE. A responsible company would not have dealt with a client the way they did with me. Not only do they not take responsibility for the fact that they never confirmed the tentative booking made early October, they are also lying when they pretend they came to pick me up at my hotel and that I was no show. VERY UNHAPPY with that company. BEWARE.

Great Tour! Great zoo experience!

This is a Fantastic zoo! The animals are well keep & healthy! Our tour Guide was awesome! Pick up at hotel was fantastic, the driver was great! Small tour of 9 people was also great!

Paid for breakfast in the wild , didn’t get it !!!!! , the guide told us it wasn’t included then came looking for us after the event to say had made a mistake but was too late , tried to contact customer service they are now ignoring me , I bought this for my wife for Xmas as she loves animals we left very upset and paid a lot for just a walk round the zoo , ripped off !!! The zoo it’s self is a fantastic place to visit and the animals appear to be well looked after however won’t use Viator again

Well worth it!

Appreciated that the guide kept us on schedule so we could see the sea lion show. Advertised as tram but did walking instead to see closer up. Nice to have the option.

Excellent trip to Singapore Zoo

Pick up was punctual and Paul waa a great guide. Zoo was spectacular in beautiful setting with up close views of all the animals.

The transfer was comfortable & the guide was very helpful & knowledgeable. We had a lovely breakfast & met not only the orang utans but an owl & some reptiles too. We had a great time & really enjoyed it. We got some fabulous photos too. 👌

Does not live up to expectations

Driver turned up 30 minutes late & we had no response to texts to the guide. We found out everyone was told they were being collected @8.00am - mad rush to get to the zoo - even the rep advised he was getting worried. Breakfast with the animals - this was one snake, an owl & one orangutan- certainly nothing like the picture advertised. The whole group said they were disappointed. Photos taken by the zoo trying to sell them with other orangutans which were superimposed & not even in the photos- when I asked about this the photographer walked off. The experience was certainly not worth the money & a lot of disappointed & dissatisfied people.

An almost naturalistic zoo

Glad to see the zoo specialised in tropical animals, good to see American v Asian v African. I was surprised at the insects and butterflies, so many species.

Driver was arrived on time and was a very pleasant journey to and from Zoo. The breakfast was amazing and the high was seeing the animals up close

Had a great time at the Singapore Zoo.

Very accommodating and the guide was very knowledgeable. It was a three hour visit at the Zoo. Could have been a lot longer and not rushed. Enjoyed the Orangutan’s and the White Tiger.

Trouble free pickup, fantastic buffet breakfast, informative guides and fabulous wildlife. Highly recommend this tour.

Exciting moments watching the orangutans and being able to touch some of the other animals. As it was so humid, we chose to take the little zoo train around all areas. The zoo is so clean, lush and has offers great educational programs.

Viator destroyed my holiday

Viator absolutely destroyed the experience,... there was no pick up from the hotel at the correct time and as advertised on the Viator documentation. by the time I was able to get any assistance from the tour operator we were already 1.5 hrs behind the scheduled drop of at the zoo.... we missed the breakfast... we missed any chance of seeing the Orangutans,,, Viator did absolutely nothing except throw up smoke screen after smoke screen.... The most useless company I have ever dealt with... be warned... Viator are nothing short of SCAM artist

Nice Morning

We booked a tour for this attraction with round trip transportation. The tour was only half day which was not enough time. The zoo has multiple parks but we just did the zoo itself. It is not overly large but was clean and the animals seemed happy. We went to Save the rainforest show and it was fun. I would suggest a full day and multiple parks if you can afford it!

Poor transfer experience

The main issue was transfer. The driver picking us up at hotel waited in van for 15 minutes before coming in to collect us. After picking up next clients the driver was on his phone for a further 15 mins. After transferring to another van we were running late. About 15 minutes prior to arrival the mini bus broke down. It took about 30 minutes for a replacement van to arrive. Upon arrival we had to almost run to breakfast. We ended up only having 20 minutes for breakfast and most items were not available. We also missed most of the breakfast with orangutans session. We certainly did not get value for money. I feel we should get a refund for the breakfast. Tour operator cannot claim the breakdown was out of their control, as the van was old and obviously poorly maintained.

Lovely breakfast but best part was being up close to the orangoutangs. Such fun to watch. An absolute hoot!

Hope you don’t get our Guide

Zoo is great. Our driver was great. Guide was terrible. He was late, probably cause he was smoking at front of Swissotel and we had to wait for him. 30mins Kate our tour started and still finished at same time. He had no idea of any history nor locations along the way. Our guide was also smoking while about the zoo. He is not suitable to represent Tour East as a guide.

The Zoo was amazing.. Our tour guide was really good and very informative.. the coach picked us up on time .. highly recommend it !!

It is a good place to go to!

It is a good place. Getting to see a wide variety of animals that are kept there. Other than that, you can get to do other things like feeding or eating with the animals.

Singapore's Zoo is outstanding

Loved this experience and the zoo itself! AMAZING experience for animal lovers. Don't miss the section where you can go into a rainforest-type area where all the animals are free to roam.

great spot to visit

We have been a number of times and it never gets dull. Great spot to have breakfast and then wonder around the zoo grounds.

Zoo!

We don;t really visit zoo's when we travel but my friend brought us all here. Not bad, this zoo is clean and good to visit with kids!

Zoo is wonderful, skip the breakfast

The zoo was well worth the time, the breakfast however was not worth the money and more importantly the time. If I were to do it again I'd rather spend more time going to each of the different areas given the short window to explore and still take the tour bus back to the hotel.

Zoo Great, Breakfast with Orangutans - OK

Getting to and from the Zoo along with the Zoo experience itself were great. It is not that Breakfast with the Orangutans was bad, it simply did not live up to the expectations. It was great to see them swinging down the tree limbs to the spot where they eat breakfast and it was great to get the picture that will go up in our den with pictures of other trips. However, it was simply breakfast (not as good as what our hotel had) and a picture with the orangutans. If I went back today as a couple, I would skip the breakfast and go spend more time seeing the animals. Towards that end the zoo is great with several really good exhibits. Still if we still had young children, I think this would have been something we would do again.

Best Zoo

Yes, its one of the best zoo I visited in recent past. Its spanned across 26 hectares. Its has all species which you can think of. They have very nicely grouped animals according to there species. You have Tram facility. One should also do Night Safari & the best part is animals are in open (only Tiger was in cage,obviously). .

Orangutans breakfast

They cancelled the trip on me less than 24 hours before. Then had the gall to tell me to contact a company in Australia to get my money refunded. Not happy , shouldn't have to chase a refund for something they cancelled.

From the moment we got on the bus to visit the Zoo, we had an exceptional Tour Guide named Richard. His knowledge is so good, we were able to ask him questions about Singapore on the drive to the Zoo. We have been to many Zoos in the world but this was the best experience we have had!

Breakfast with the orangutans

Great way for a quick visit at the zoo. You won’t be allowed to feed or touch the orangutans. They are brought out after you finish your breakfast, you will be allowed to get close for pictures with them. Breakfast food choice was pretty good. After breakfast you have 90 minutes to see the rest of the zoo, or be given an option to go back to your hotel via public transport. It’s not a big zoo, we saw the majority of it.

Great trip, guide was very good- great sense of humour, tram ride was included in the tour price. Plenty of time with the orangutans- with lots of photo opportunities

A different and enjoyable way to have breakfast. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the pick up place to join the others on our trip. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Our guide was very informative, and made sure we had transport back to our hotel. We would certainly recommend this to others.

So much fun

This has to be one of the best experiences in Singapore. The Orangutans are so cute and the buffet breakfast had a great variety of Western and local dishes.After breakfast you can take you time looking at the rest of the zoo.
