If you have the change to discover Udaipur and its surroundings with Doulat & his Chappati Express, don’t hesitate. Last year and also this year Doulat showed me his beautiful city but also places around Udaipur that are simply amazing. Doulat is not only an excellent and honest guide, very good story-teller, and a very skilled tuktukdriver, he is also a wonderful and trustworthy person that truly loves his city and knows all about it. Great day in Udaipur!

We really loved this tour! He was very good English speaking, polite and funny. Since he is a local he drove us around the city showing us the most interesting places including non tourist areas where you can have a more authentic udaipur experience. He knows a lot about the areas, so we can recommend this tour for everyone visiting this city. As a bonus he also organised a taxi for the next day, that took us to the airport.

Our tour with Doulat was easily one of our highlights during our trip in India thus far! We were particularly interested in shopping for antiques and he took us to all the best places. He was so patient and waited for us at all the stops without hesitation. On top of all this, his kind and fun personality was such a pleasure to be around. He will 100% contact Doulat again when we are back in Udaipur!

The Best Trip in Udaipur!

We had this tour recommended to us by some fellow travellers we met! And it was truly amazing. Doulat lives in Udaipur and you can see how much he loves and is proud of this beautiful city. He took us on an amazing tour in his Tuk Tuk which is roomy and comfortable. We visited local markets tried food and experienced things we never would have done alone. It was a fantastic experience. He was so good we went out for a second day with him to the countryside which was in incredible, we visited temples and went to remote villages and also to the top of the hill overlooking Tiger Lake - beautiful views and the best experience. You must do this tour in Udaipur! Doulat is a lovely genuine honest person and will show you the best time. Unbelievable value for money too ❤️

Udaipur Highlight!

When you come to India there are Tuk tuk drivers everywhere… But this is not your everyday tuktuk experience. Doulat and his tour was honestly a trip highlight for us! With only a couple days and Udaipur, this had to be one of the best ways to see everything as well as learned about the area. Doulat brought us from store to store as well as introduced us to our favorite meal of our India trip! He is incredibly warm and personable and very gracious with his time. We are so happy we met him and had this experience. HIGHLY recommend!!

He took us on an elaborate and knowledge filled excursion around the whole city making sure we cover all the monuments and sight seeing places in the stipulated time of a single day we had. 100% best driver you will find

Doulat gave us excellent service during our 4 day stay in the city, I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. His knowledge and love for the city is outstanding. He even looked after our kids while we shopped and let them drive the tuk tuk too! Im 100% sure you won’t find a better driver in all of India.

Not just a guide and a driver - became an old friend by the end of a few hours.

This is the first time - my Mexican partner was visiiting India - so it was very important for me to show the best parts of the city and the people. Daulat ji - made our trip unforgettable by recommending the best places to suit our likes, telling us small little stories about the city and most importantly - he took us to a trusted little stall for street food - and I must say this is the first street food that did not keep us up all night. He even recommended a very nice restaurant with great food and lovely ambience and arranged for our airport drop off the next day as well. I am confident that our trip in Udaipur wouldn't have been half as enjoyable - if it wasn't for Daulatji's recommendations and company.

I met Joulac and he let me do a very Perfect trip! He anderstood immediatly the way I wanted to travel: he let me get throw my feelings, my experience, He brought me in the countryside around udaipur descovering that I wanted: an absolute immersion .I could discover butifull temples with no turists, the people around praying and he let me meet people from the countryside :I could walk into the villages, meeting the children and their parents, feeling the stones, the streets, the atmosphere, drinking a chai with the people. He also helped me to find a very Nice place to be and fond very Nice man to travel far with his taxi to raknapur, and visit a marvellous jaïn temple Thank you so much, for the discutions about Life and this very beautifull tour. Doulat - no question, the best guide we've ever had in India!

We met Doulat when we last visited Udaipur in. 2019. He'd given us a card so we called him this time ( Feb 24) and he came to meet us in his brand new gas powered Tuk Tuk. We went on a tour of the old city centre, everything from the vegetable markets to watching bamboo being split to make baskets, from watching chick pea street food being cooked to people buying huge blocks of salt. Doulat is great at explaining local cultures & traditions. You begin to get a real sense of the vibrancy of this wonderful place. His English is really good - and his driving is careful and considered compared to many of the local drivers. We had a light lunch together overlooking there lake and it was great to begin to learn a little more about him and his family. I have been to India many times now, and he is by far the best local guide I have ever encountered. I would recommend him without hesitation if you want a deep dive into the real Udaipur.

Excellent way to see Udaipur

Our Tuk Tuk Tour today in Udaipur was excellent. The driver, Doulat was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and at all times took care. He provided us with many alternatives for an itinerary which helped us work out our day of sightseeing. We saw so much and thoroughly enjoyed everything we saw. Udaipur is a beautiful city with so much to offer. The lakes, parks, attractions are all within easy reach and the transport was welcome as we could then cover a great deal of ground in limited time. Educational and fun

Our TUk TUk driver Doulat was exceptional! Great knowledge and above all a fantastic sense of humour. He took us to some of the out of the way places off the Tourist radar. He was a breath of fresh air

The best tour ever!

We booked this tour thinking it was a two hour tuk tuk tour, how wrong we were! What we got for our money was the most fabulous tailor made 5 hour tour both walking around the back streets and historic hidden Udaipur and the vibrant markets ….. and then a tuk tuk tour a little further afield to Fatah Sagar lake and temples and gardens nearby. It was a truly wonderful experience and our guide Pushkar was amazing, not only in his spoken English but also in his outstanding knowledge of everything and everywhere Udaipur! He is also very funny which added to this utterly enjoyable experience. He even arranged and collected tickets for us to see the magical folk dance show and marched us in without any queuing… fantastic! We highly recommended him to others who have since had a tour by him and have been equally delighted. Don’t hesitate to book !

Mesmerizing city of Lakes and Palaces

It's a beautiful city adorned by opulent palaces, rich in history and surreal artistry. The city is pretty clean and helmed in by captivating lakes all around.. The City palace experience and a boat ride to Jagmandir on lake Pichola itself was worth a trip to Udaipur..

Tuk Tuk Tour of Udaipur

Gudda our driver was really really good - spoke great English, was prompt and took us to some amazing sites/sights (some off the tourist track). He also introduced me to Chai (Indian Tea)! The spice and vegetable market was such a good experience and Gudda was the perfect guide for this as he encouraged us to try some of the fruits (which we would never have done on our own). Gudda's driving was good and he also organised a great guide for the City Palace (well recommended!). The experience was great and I would not hesitate in recommending this tuk tuk tour!!

We traveled to see nature with Donlette, saw beautiful landscapes, took pictures and heard explanations about India. We ate delicious food and enjoyed the whole day

Doulat is really a gentle, intelligent, and funny tuk tuk driver. His English is perfect, he knows his city and the Indian culture very well! He is the perfect guide to guide you through the city, and the most beautiful places of Udaipur. He is also perfect company, when you travel alone, you can talk with him about everything. Amazing tour

We had an amazing tour with Dulat. His english is very clear. The tour was at villages around udipur. Beautiful view. Really special...places we couldnt be and know without Dulat. Very recommanded!!

Udaipur city tour without Daulat ji and his tuk tuk is incomplete

We hired a random #TukTuk just outside from our hotel "Lake Pichola". As we didn't knew anything about Daulat ji and his Chapati Express (a TukTuk name), we were expecting a simple day tour of city. I would say Daulat ji is very kind, soft spoken and as has great knowledge of Udaipur. He planned our tour really well and taken us to great attraction points of the city. His TukTuk is very clean and well maintained. Next time whenever I'll plan an another trip to Udaipur, I'll definitely take him as my guide. Great travel combo of driving and guiding.
